Stirring EntreCard Nest

September 9, 2008

My previous post on Why EntreCard Sucks attract mixed reviews but mostly are rebuttals from EntreCard's members. Some of those reviews are provoking but that's okay since those guys haven't look at the mirror and see that they are no better than me.

Below are my reviews (in italic) within a review. I'm sure it will stir your opinion on EntreCard's members.

1. My Journey found my Why EntreCard Sucks article and post the link at EntreCard's forum requesting for comments.

Surprise, surprise. An EntreCard's member stumbled this blog from a search engine. That just proved that this blog can survive without EntreCard traffic. Anyway, all these while traffic from EntreCard is insignificant.

2. Monkey Fables And Tales replied saying that "I left a comment there at the blog. We'll see if it gets published though since he moderates them".

Yes, his comment was approved. And I appreciate his response.

3. Monkeychapps.com then makes a monkey scene of my writing. He quoted "My EntreCard account was deleted recently not because I break their Terms of Service but the founder(s) of EntreCard head are getting bigger" and commented "Maybe they banned him for improper usage of past and present verb tenses. A kind of syntax mercy killing."
Well, I don't spend long hours dropping EC (not anymore anyway) or have luxury of time to make my writing 100% perfect but judging from the responses, those people understand my points.

Oh ya, if you read his post called Sorry that I kicked you in balls (should be: reworded as Sorry that I kicked you in the ball), as you'll noticed that he said "Your 3 year old was running all ...". Typo error ! Syntax error ! See what I mean ? He's making a monkey out of himself.

4. Orient Lodge being a senior gentlemen correct my fact stating that my reference to Alexa stats was not reliable (thus inaccurate) and suggested that I should use QuantCast to measure EntreCard traffic.

I loves this fellow. He provide his insights in a positive manner. Yup, I learned a thing or two from his reply.

5. Turnip of Power then budged in and throw his turnips around saying that I was banned by Google.

What is so great about Google AdSense ? Turnip of Power is earning 7 turnips from ProjectWonderful and he also subscribed to plenty of affiliate programs. Just because he have Google AdSense on his site, he think that his turnip is better that mine. Well, I don't want his turnip, that's for sure.

6. PoemofQuotes Blog was being very hypocritical with his saying "That is a scam blog if I ever saw one. Tons of affiliate links and ads and crap content. The guy can't get more than $0.01 per ad and he is telling people how to make money online. What a joke."

He's the real PoemofScam asking visitors to donate money to him. At least I don't beg. Anyway, my blog is about my chronicles of earning money and to blog my findings and experiences. I alert my readers for problematic affiliate programs so that they can avoid it.

7. My Journey returned with a reply saying that I cleaned up my blog to make it less splog ?
No, there was no clean up. If I have the time, probably I will use another template and reorganized by page elements. And this blog is NOT a splog. If you are into Making Money Online (MMO), the topics are very similar as it all about how to make money. So for those not into MMO, it sound like or look like splog.

8. Dot Com Mogul being a non John Chow fan (like me) questions the double standard that EC practiced as John Chow site was laden with ads and affiliate links (from head to toe) and still wear the EC badge (before John withdraw from the EC network, that is).

Well, we can put this issue to rest as someone (I think it was Monkey Fables And Tales) highlighted that John Chow as paid to be member of EC on a contract basis.

9. Ben Barden the EC Forum Moderator stepped in and clear the room with some cool air.

He's a nice guy. Despite my provoking article, he still response like a real Marketing Guy. Makes you wonder if he is the moderator or a marketing guy. EC should get more smiling people like him.

10. Working Title walked in. He's enjoying the show.

11. Dot Com Mogul returned to the barn.

And he's cowing loud why EC approved so many sites under category MMO when most of them are splog and run of the mill. Well, DCM, those are John Chow's illegitimate clones !

12. The Truth Is Out There. Where's agent Moulder ?

He have an interest post titled "Giving my wife the finger". Check it out.

That's all for now. Watch out for the bees !

Er, thanks for the link, but I have nothing to do with this. I didn't even know what this was until I came here from your comment. I just wrote a rant post about some crappy blog types. Sorry.

    sorry, no fox, no moulder

Your points on entrecard are valid. I haven't been blogging for long (I've been posting for most of a year but only really out in the forums and on other blogs for a couple of months) and I find people get pretty fanatical about whatever forum they choose to hang out on.

I'll use entrecard and others for now. Hopefully, I'll build up enough traffic that I'll feel forum free.

thanks for suggesting people should stop by.
