My PageRank slapped by Google, again
July 13, 2008
That's right. Frequent visitors to this blog probably noticed that my blog PR has been slapped by Google (again !) from PR 3 to PR 0. What's up Google.
This is the second time, this blog got penalized to PR 0 and it's suck. There is nothing to be ashamed of but it's really a hassle to regain your Page Rank.
Did I do paid to review ? No
Did I sell text link ? No
Did you include "nofollow" for your outbound links ? 99% nofollow
Is your site indexed by Google ? Yes.
Did penalized sites link to you ? How would I know.
Did others people duplicate your contents ? Google knows better.
The only possible clues that I can think of that lead to this blog Page Rank being slapped to lousy ZERO are :
1. I recently added Chitika widget. But Chitika is no different then Bidvertiser or Google AdSense.
2. I added Meta Tags for my blog description and keywords. Yeah, never bother to include the description and keywords before.
3. I migrated my blog to another Template from Blogger Buster. The previous template was dropped because it linked to images from PhotoBucket and PhotoBucket (for my other blog) kept throwing out "bandwidth exceeded" notices.
So now, I have to resubmit this blog for reconsideration, again.

Sherry,
Now our PR are equal. I also visited your site and noted that your technorati links is over 200, that mean, the next round Google update their PR, your site probably will be awarded with PR.

This may be the beginning of the PR adjustment again. A lot of times before your blogs PR will change, it will drop to zero.

What about that "buy a link" gadget in your sidebar? isn't that a paid for link?
July 21, 2008 8:58 AM
Blarneystone, it is paid links but technically it is not as those are embedded in JavaScript (like ScratchBack Top List).
Google does not bother about the content of JavaScript as the content can by dynamic (not static).

Ahhh... I see. Thanks for the followup. I am tempted to try scratchback. Are you having much success with it?

@ blarneystone, as you can see, my TopSpot is full but need more sponsors to tip me in order for me to qualify for a payout. In short, I am half way there.
If your site have heavy traffic, I think you can get sponsors to tip you. Give it a try, after all you only need a small space on your page.
