It was quite hard to come up with a title for this posting. Before deciding on "How I got Free Page Rank", I thought of using "Page Rank Lottery" or "Page Rank without cost". But I believed, the title "How I got Free Page Rank" should be appropriate.

I am not bragging about Page Rank as my knowledge on this topic is very basic (but I do understand the impact of it and it's importance).

The main reason for this posting is because EzRichProject.BlogSpot.Com was awarded with a Page Rank (PR) 3 on Oct 28, 2007. A sudden PR 3 for PR 0, hence the idea of using "Page Rank Lottery" as it was unexpected. Its common knowledge that Google has been penalizing some websites on their PR status.

The accomplishment of this blog also illustrates that you can earned a better PR without cost, meaning without spending money to get listed in top directory or bribe higher ranking sites to link back to your blog or website.

Some facts and figures as of Oct 29, 2007 (I might need this information at a later stage to compare this web blog progress):
* Technorati: Authority - 30, Rank - 273,240
* Alexa: Traffic Ranking - 378,984
* Link Popularity: Total - 608 (Google - 36, Yahoo - 572)
* EzRichProject PR 3 is close to www.JohnChow.com PR 4 and www.45n5.com PR 4.
* EzRichProject is only 5 months old.
* EzRichProject currently has 143 posts.
* Zero (0) money was spent on achieving PR 3.

Notes on Link Popularity: It just shows how difficult it is to get links from Google based websites (also read as, Google stingy with links). I used www.marketleap.com to analysis my blog Link Popularity.

Impact of having higher Page Rank (PR):
With the hard earned PR 3, I have improved my chances of participating in more Pay Per Post opportunity from www.payperpost.com. In addition, EzRichProject have better standing in www.45n5.com Top 100 Ranking as well as more chances in future opportunities. More opportunities means a possibility of earning more money from my online activities.

What I did to achieve PR 3 for EzRichProject:
* Only exchange links with related websites or web blogs, regardless of their PR.
* Reduced or minimized back links to other sites unless necessary.
* Use of targeted keywords with related contents (judging of contents quality can be subjective).
* Focus on themed contents (i.e. Earn Money from the Internet).
* Efforts in promoting and increasing traffic to EzRichProject.
